Description
Four stained glass windows with figure in each one and inscription at the base. Dedicatory bronze plaque placed on the north wall. Figure of St Peter and St Christopher in two of the lights. January 2019 report that the ‘Air Force/Airmen’ windows are obscured by the huge church organ subsequently installed c 1977.

THE FOUR WINDOWS IN THE NORTH AISLE OF THIS CHURCH/ WERE FILLED WITH STAINED GLASS AND ON THIS DATE/ DEDICATED TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE MEMORY/ OF ALL THOSE SAILORS, SOLDIERS, AIRMEN, CHAPLAINS/ MEDICAL OFFICERS AND NURSES OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THE FREEDOM OF THE WORLD/ IN THE GREAT WAR OF 1914 - 1919/ AUGUST 10 1919/ "THE GLORY DIED NOT AND THE GRIEF IS PASSED"
