HELICOPTERS FROM HMS BULWARK EXERCISE IN DESERT CONDITIONS [Allocated Title]
Whirlwind helicopters land Royal Marines with transport and weapons for a desert exercise.
A flight of Whirlwind HAS.7s flies into land in desert terrain. Marines disembark and immediately assume the prone firing position. Aided by smoke markers, the helicopters shuttle in more troops - the aircraft are obscured by the great clouds of dust thrown up by the rotors. LA as Whirlwinds W and R alight to disembark marines and, once given the all-clear, immediately take off again. Helicopters C and G carrying Citroën light utilities fly in on a smoke marker. Waiting marines immediately board the vehicles. HA.MS into a dry wadi where the Citroens have been parked up and the men are setting up two 3-inch mortars - the mortars commence firing - a radio operator sits with his pack near the parked vehicles. MS of a battery of Mobat recoilless rifles as they are reloaded after firing. LS to target hulk as it is destroyed by the anti-tank guns.
