I. MS aft over portside of quarterdeck of HMAS Murchison underway in heavy weather - the following sea regularly breaks over the stern, sending water sluicing over the deck. CUs of depth-charge rack and thrower. HA.MS from the starboard of the bridge to focsle deck - bows dig in and spray and spume comes blowing back into the camera - this is followed by a quieter period, when the focsle is relatively dry before the ship buries her bows again. MSs aft down waist to quarterdeck - waves regularly swamp the decks, and round bar davits on either side swing aimlessly in their stands. MCU of quarterdeck as Murchison is pooped.

II. Murchison's MO, Surgeon Lieutenant B H Webb, RN, on Cho-do Island, preparing a series of inoculations with the help of a local nurse. Together they administer shots to local villagers - including one small boy who winces dramatically. Lieutenant Webb attends to the nurse.
