History
Having been unveiled at a private reception held at 10 Downing Street on 20/2/2019, the memorial stone was installed the same day outside the carriage gates of the Palace of Westminster, where PC Palmer was attacked. A plaque was also placed in New Palace Yard at the Palace of Westminster, close to where PC Palmer died. (The Police Memorial Trust record of the stone memorial mentions that ""The Trust has worked since 2017 to get permission to place the memorial at the Unesco World Heritage site, and has consulted with Mr Palmer’s family on the plans". At the present time, however, that memorial is still in situ at the Palace of Westminster).
