- Description
- Round-arch-topped wooden board with shelf. The coloured Greater Manchester Police crest is top-left and the Salford Coat of Arms is top-right, beneath which is the inscription in black lettering. Beside it hangs an associated board, bearing biographies and photographs of some of the First World War casualties. (In 1928 the Salford Borough Police was renamed Salford City Police).

- From 1844 officers belonged to Salford Borough Police. In 1926 Salford Borough Police was renamed Salford City Police. On 1/4/1968 it merged into Manchester and Salford Police, which on 1/4/1974 was absorbed into Greater Manchester Police.
