Description

Large wall mounted white stone tablet. Columns run up either side of the tablet joined across the top of the inscription by a pediment. On top of each column sits a stylized tower and above the pediment is a carved floral column. The inscription is written in black capitals with those remembered listed in two columns.

TO THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD/ IN ABIDING FAITH IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND IN THE HOPE/ WHICH IS FULL OF IMMORTALITY, THIS TABLET IS ERECTED IN PROUD/ AND LOVING MEMORY OF THE MEMBERS OF THIS CHURCH AND CONGREGATION,/ WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918./ (Names)/ THEIR REWARD IS WITH THE LORD AND THE CARE OF THEM WITH THE MOST HIGH/;/ THEY LIVE ALSO IN OUR HEARTS, AND THE REMEMBRANCE OF THEM IS DEAR AND MOST BLESSED;/ THE PEOPLE WILL TELL OF THEIR VALOUR, AND GENERATIONS WILL SHOW FORTH THEIR PRAISE; AND THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE.
