- Description
- Lych gate comprised of two stone pillars with wooden insert and triangular wooden roof with trefoil insert. Two steps lead up to gate and a stone wall supports whole. The beams of both sides of the wooden gable bear the carved inscription "The Gateway of Remembrance". Within the lych gate are 4 stone tablets that bear the inscription and names of those who died. One rectangular tablet on either side relates to World War 1; the one on the south side is flanked by two square tablets that bear the names of those who died in World War 2. The inscriptions are engraved, with black-painted lettering.

- Peterborough Advertiser dated 23/9/1922: this reported that the unveiling/dedication had taken place the previous Sunday. (Among the photographs it included with the report was one showing the gates beneath the lych).
