1939 WORLD WAR 1945. IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE FROM THIS PARISH OF ST MARY STOKE WHO DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE. WE COMMEND THEIR SOULS INTO THE LOVE AND MERCY OF ALMIGHTY GOD. GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS. THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
