- Blairgowrie Advertiser Saturday 30th August 1919 Honouring the Brave Colonel Fothringham presided at a gathering in Murthly School to witness the unveiling,by Mrs Fothringham,of the School`s Roll of Honour,on which are engraved 52 names. Mr W Sprunt,headmaster, said that the memorial was probably unique in that it had been erected entirely by contributions from former pupils who were not privileged to wear the King`s uniform. Rev HK Reekie also took part in the ceremony.
