- Description
- Nowy-headed WW1 rectangular plaque (portrait), with raised border and oval panel top-centre, containing the Prince of Wales' feathers, beneath which is the inscription. (The plaque was originally installed on an external wall of the Constabulary HQ at Haverfordwest Castle in 1921. It was later taken inside the building, where it is now displayed alongside the Constabulary's WW2 plaque -see WMR 87111).

- Western Mail, Saturday 24 December 1921 (page 8) published a photograph of the WW1 plaque, stating "The policemen's war memorial" had been unveiled on an unspecified date at Haverfordwest Castle by Sir Charles Phillips Bart.; (www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0000104/19211224/208/0008 )
