Description
The Mauchline war memorial is constructed of red sandstone (presumably from the Aurshire quarries) with a tall column standing on a pedestal with Roman ionic capital crowned with an urn. A belt of bronze encirlcles the pedestal and is divided into panels with the names of the fallen of WW1- on 3 sides with each side divided into 5 sections, the 4th side is the dedication. Two additional bronze panels bear the names of the fallen of WW2. The whole sits on a 3 stage base and has railings around
