Cairn commemorating the last clan battle, exact position of battle in unknown but believed to be on the slope above the cairn. Variously known as Battle of Mulroy, Mulray and Maol Ruadh.

THE BATTLE OF MULROY / 4th August 1688 / On the hill opposite, / the MacDonells of Keppoch / defeated the Mackintoshs / in the last inter-clan / battle fought in Scotland.
