- Description
- The principal memorial is a tablet with dedicatory inscription. A Latin cross is carved on the left hand side of the commemoration. The tablet is flanked on each side by smaller black, smooth stone tablets on which the insignia of the Malayan Volunteers Group and Singapore Volunteer Corps are engraved. A small seating area with benches is enclosed within a low wall of natural stone and 'V' shaped paved area surrounded by hardy Asiastic Chinese birch trees and bamboos. Further commemorative tablets relate to Malayan and Singaporean auxiliary and volunteer forces, including the contribution of Australia.
