History
1932-2000: Various extensions including: two twin bed wards (1932); sluice room (1938); Committee Room and Sisters Room (1938); Day Room (1974 and 1976); Physiotherapy and Out-patients and new entrance (1965); Therapy Room (1990); three bed ward with hoists (Anne Spenser Ward), two bed ward (Joy Ginda Ward) and relative's quiet room (2000). 1930: New War Memorial Hospital opened. 1929: Foundation stone of new hospital laid. By this time the site of the old hospital was sold to the Post Office and became the Telephone Exchange. 1926: A 'Rebuilding Fund' set up, issuing a brochure in 1928. 1923: Trustees approve a resolution to raise funds for a new war memorial hospital due to limited accomodation of current hospital and inability to extend it. 1919: Milford on Sea Hospital was re-opened as a War Memorial Hospital.
