Description
Wall mounted marble board on a wood backboard and two corbels. Moulded decoration of a Latin cross and palm branches in the head of the tablet, moulded columns along the left and right hand sides. Inscription and names incised and picked out in black.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF SWARBY,/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY,/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919 (Names)/ "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN/ LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS."
