C 2004: BRASS FITTINGS HAVE BEEN LOST, STONE TOP IS BADLY CRACKED AND POORLY REPAIRED, THERE ARE METAL PARTS MISSING, STONE OWR HAS BEEN ERODED, THE PLINTH IS SUBSIDING AND JOINTS ARE OPENING AND THE WHOLE MEMORIAL NEEDS CLEANING. IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED THAT THE MEMORIAL SHOULD BE MOVED TO A SAFER PLACE
