- Description
- A polished granite sculpture formed of four intersecting wings representing the four compass points and tapering to the top. A stainless steel crown is fixed to the top of the sculpture, which is fixed to a square granite base. There are inscriptions in gold lettering on the wings. At the base of the sculpture there is a small granite tablet with a further inscription. Four bronze castings of the obverse design of the National Service medal are mounted on each side of the base. The memorial is placed on a section of stone paving within a small garden with seating.
