Description

Marble tablet on a black mount. "I.H.S." with carved ivy leaves either side precede the inscription.

Inscription

TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF/ THE YOUNG MEN OF THIS CHURCH WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919. THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY THE MEMBERS OF THIS CHURCH AND SUNDAY SCHOOL THIS MEMORIAL WAS FORMERLY ERECTED IN WATERGROVE CHURCH, AND RE-ERECTED HERE SEP. 3RD 1933 OWING TO THE CLOSING OF SAME AND UNION WITH THIS CHURCH. GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
