Description
A rectangular slab with recessed panel with stepped upper and lower edges. This is surrounded by a deep double moulding with the inscription in blqack and gold. The whole is topped by a cornice, frieze and broken pediment, in the middle of which is a gold, blue and red painted badge. Below is a shelf and a smaller panel with a broken pediment, fronted by a framed black metal grille behind which is the Book of Remembrance. The whole stands on a ledge beneath which is a cartouche with the arms of Canterbury Cathedral, and below that again a double swag of leaves and fruit.
