On March 1st 1945/ a Wellington aircraft/ from 24 OTU/ RAF Honeybourne/ crashed in this village/ and the entire Canadian/ crew of five/ were killed/ This plaque and the/ Maple tree nearby is/ dedicated to their/ memory/ They were/ (NAMES)/ They gave their lives/ for us
