BRICK BASE SUPPORTING A MILLSTONE SURMOUNTED BY STONE PLINTH WITH 15 INCH BL SIEGE HOWITZER SHELL. TWO PLAQUES PLACED ON THE SIDES OF SHELL. NAMES OF THE FALLEN MARKED WITH A CROSS.

1999: SHELL CASE WAS RENOVATED TO PREVENT FURTHER RUSTING BEHIND THE NAME PLAQUE. BLACK PAINT COVERING THE PLAQUE WAS REMOVED. PLAQUE THEN SPRAYED WITH LAQUER. c1981: New Coronation Gates fitted 1960: New chains added 1960: Plaque recording the Government's offer of the 15in Howitzer to the people of Baltonsborough falls from the memorial. 1955: Addition of Coronation Gates which had been agreed upon in 1953. c1940: Chains removed from around memorial.
