Description
Stone of remembrance with plaque attached to the front face and an associated Sweet chestnut tree. They stand where one of the old runways intersects the road. Further memorials have been added to the area, commemorating members of 49 Squadron and 49 Squadron Association who have passed on since the inauguration of the main memorial. These have been included here with this memorial and are as follows, A bench seat and plaque, a tree with associated plaque, and a stone of remembrance with two plaques on the front face.
