- Rectangular brass plaque with single line border. The incised inscription is in black lettering, with the nine casualties' names listed in three columns. The final line of the inscription is in Gothic script.

- Prior to its move from Keppel Street Police Station, the plaque was fixed to a wooden backboard (which it shared with the WW2 memorial plaque). That backboard has since been removed, and the plaque is now fixed to the brick wall in the foyer of the Police Station in Station Road.
