Description
An obelisk of aggregate bricks on a similar corniced plinth. The roadside face has a metal wreath and dedication plaque. The other three sides each have a tablet with WW1 names. The whole is on a raised oval platform accessed by a pair of steps. The WW2 tablet is between the steps. There is an oval flower bed with a single tree on each side of the platform.

On obelisk, upper plaque: THIS MEMORIAL / WAS ERECTED / TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN / OF / SOUTHWICK / AND / FISHERSGATE, / WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914-1919. // LET THOSE FOR WHOM THEY DIED, / SEE THEY BE NOT FORGOTTEN.
