- A large black tablet with gold infilled Gothic lettering. The integral border has an inward triangle at each corner. The curved top has a central badge.

- Robert Henry Payne Crawford / Captain in H.M. 90th Light Infantry / Eldest Son of Robert Crawford Esq of Saint Hill / Died February 24th 1855 / at Scutari / of fever brought on by / hardship and exposure / during the disastrous winter campaign / before / Sebastopol / aged 30 years // ”THY SON LIVETH."
