- Description
- Standing wall monument reaching from floor to ceiling. Two-dimensional pyramid background in dark grey marble with scrolled cartouche. Two life sized figures in roman dress lean on an urn and stand on a plinth. Grey marble sarcophagus bears an inscription and has an acanthus leaf moulding on the base.

- To the Memory of WILLIAM POWLETT Esqr. late of St. LEONARD'S FORREST, / who Departed this life the 2nd day of May Anno Domini 1746, aged 63 / He descended from the Ancient family of BASING, was Captain / of the Horse Grenadiers in the reign of the late King GEORGE the first / and Marryed ELIZABETH fourth Daughter of JOHN WARD Esqr. / late of CHAMPIONS in this Parish. // Here also lyeth interred the Body of the above named / ELIZABETH POWLETT, who departed this life the 14th day of June 1753 aged 66.
