Description
White marble-bordered triptych, the central panel of which is a mosaic depicting St Michael slaying the Devil. Black marble tablets to the sides, with a striped mosaic border, carry the incised and gilded names. Above is a pink alabaster nowy arch, at the centre of which is a shield carrying the royal crest on a bed of palm leaves. Beneath the triptych sits an alabaster panel with a central tablet carrying the Dedication and donor details, incised and blacked.

On the side tablets: (Names) On the tablet beneath: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND TO THE MEMORY OF THE WHITCHURCH/ MEN WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR/ This tablet is dedicated by the parents/ of Lieut. Thomas Chesters Bowler.
