Visitor's book (and annotated photocopy 173pp) of the Panzer Training School, Belsen for the period from 1936 (when it was formally opened) to January 1945, containing the signatures of eminent guests attending celebratory functions at the school and including signatures of Josef Goebbels, Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering, Generaloberst Heinz Guderian and Rudolf Hess' staff, together with those of foreign visitors, including Captain (later General Sir) Kenneth Strong, Colonel (later General Sir) Noel Mason-Macfarlane, and representatives of Japan (including General T Yamashita), USA, Yugoslavia, Rumania, Argentina and the various European (volunteer) legions. Many pages of the book are colourfully and intricately illustrated. [The school was used as an annex to the Belsen concentration camp in the last days before its liberation and was subsequently used by the Allies as a relief camp for the victims of the concentration camp].
