Description
A plain wooden cross, the ends cut to a point, with an oval panel at the crossing point containing the dedication hand painted in black and with a GRU metal tag fixed to the upright above the panel.

GRU / R.I.P. / IN LOVING MEMORY / OF / MAJOR, / F. W. L. GULL. / 13th, BATT. RIFLE BRIGADE / KILLED IN ACTION / 28th. AUGUST 1918 / (note - The CWGC records show date of death as 25th August 1918. A possible explanation is that Major Gull was wounded on the 25th and died from his wounds three days later) .
