- IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ WILLIAM HARPER/ CWMCARN/ WHO FELL IN ACTION IN FRANCE/ APRIL 25, 1917, AGED 49 YRS./ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT/ A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS Also on the grave, below the dedication to William Harper, is a memorial to the son of William and his wife Sarah Edith Harper, Joseph Harper who died December 17th 1919 aged 13.
