FROM A PHOTOCOPY OF AN OLD PHOTOGRAPH, THE MEMORIAL APPEARS TO BE A METAL PLAQUE IN THE CENTRE OF AN ELABORATE CARVED FRAME..

IN EVERLASTING MEMORY OF THE GLORIOUS SACRIFICE AND SERVICE OF THE MEN WHO TOOK PART IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919. THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY THE DIRECTORS OF WILSON BROS. BOBBIN CO. LTD. AS A PERPETUAL RECORD OF THE NAMES OF THE MEN WHO LEFT THE SERVICE OF THE COMPANY AT GARSTON AND AT CORNHOLME TO JOIN HIS MAJESTY'S FORCES AND WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY. THEIR NAMES SHALL LIVE FOR EVERMORE.
