Built in Germany during the 1960s it became part of the Leisure Sport Flying Circus at Thorpe Park during the late 1970s.
During 1981/82 it was grounded because of handling difficulties and was sold to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton to fill a gap in their WWI display.
We have reassembled and painted the aircraft to be representative of the aircraft flown by Cpt. Edward V Rickenbacker of the 94th Aero Squadron during 1917/18.
