Jacket, Mess Dress: Officer's, Royal Army Chaplains Department
Short single-breasted jacket of black cloth, unfastened at the front, featuring a deep and wide open shawl collar with purple faced lapels, shoulder epaulettes of black cloth each secured by a small gilt regimental button, pointed cuffs faced with purple cloth and fitted with two small regimental buttons, and a pointed back. All buttons are of the gilt Royal Army Chaplains Department pattern (Queen's Crown). Internally, the jacket is lined in black satin fabric.
Rank insignia has been removed from the epaulettes.
