Family of Sqn Ldr. K. P. Weeks RAF
The National Assembly wishes to express its gratitude and sincere appreciation for the sacrifices and heroic acts of your loved one and other servicemen who gave their lives for the liberation of Kuwait and for upholding the principles of peace and non-aggression.
The United Kingdom, along with its allies, witnessed on August 2, 1990 a barbaric aggression which they soon condemned and resolved to repel in order that justice prevails and tyranny be defeated. Your loved ones paid the ultimate price so that freedom is restored and aggresssors are not rewarded. They paid the dearest possible price so that the peace-loving people of Kuwait regain their freedom and live in peace as they have done throughout their history. Your loved ones unique sacrifice shall always be in our memory; their stand shall never be forgotten.
As a gesture of gratitude and remembrance, kindly accept the enclosed token of appreciation. May you always be comforted in the fact that our two nations and two peoples will always share an eternal bond.
With our best wishes and deepest affection.
Sincerely yours
Ahmed Yacoub Baqer
