Physical description
Rectangular metal tin 'First-Aid Packet' in two parts with rounded corners and painted red on outside. The lid of the tin is embossed with the following inscription 'First-Aid Packet U.S. Govt. CARLISLE MODEL. TO OPEN PULL TAPE. RED COLOUR INDICATES BACK OF DRESSING. PUT OTHER SIDE NEXT TO WOUND. BAUER & BLACK DIV OF THE KENDALL CO. - CHICAGO'. Contains a large folded dressing consisting of cotton pad and gauze, which now open does not fit back inside the tin.
