Black and white negatives and contact prints, together with some standard prints taken by official photographers of British Army forces serving with the BAOR based at BAOR Headquarters, Germany, 1961 - 1979 and 1984 - 1985 (no coverage for 1980-1983). Photographs mainly taken for public relations purposes showing daily life in the Army, also inspections, training, exercises etc.
Duxford (Bay 24): 55 grey boxes of c 66000 contact prints with very little caption information, plus some full size prints with captions, covering 1961-1970 & 1972; 1 brown archive box of c 1200 contact prints with very little caption information, plus some full size prints with captions, covering 1973; also 2 white archival envelopes of contacts from 1967 and 1968.

1961: Coverage includes Exercise Spearpoint, sporting activities (skiing, boxing,rifle shooting, Highland Games), scenes at Wuppertal, Wesel, Winterberg, and Kiel, the Rhine Army Theatre Club, the Welsh Guards on St David's Day, recruiting pictures, parades, and accommodation. Units include: Royal Engineers, Grenadier Guards, Welch Regiment, Royal Army Service Corps, Green Howards, Irish Guards, and Women's Royal Army Corps.
1962: Coverage includes sporting activities, Hamburg floods, VIP visits (including John Profumo), NATO Exercise Backlash II, Exercise Fallex, and scenes at Rheindahlen Garrison.
1963: Coverage includes sporting activities, the farewell parade of General Sir James Cassels, Commander in Chief BAOR 1960-1963, parades, training, visits by HRH Princess Margaret, giving aid following the earthquake in Skopje, Yugoslavia in July 1963, and General G J Hamilton.
1964: Coverage includes Exercise First Moon, Exercise Travel Man, parades, training, and VIP visits.
1965: Coverage includes Exercise Long Stop, Exercise Roadmaster II, and a visit by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
