(21 May 1940) Southampton Docks, the South coast of England. British Army Mk IV and Mk I Cruiser tanks are being unloaded from storage sheds onto the dockside and then lifted onto cargo vessels by crane. British Army personnel are carrying out the work, but dockworkers are also on hand. CH39

(21 May 1940) Dockworkers move storage units and sack trucks around inside a storage shed. One of the storage unit's has "1st MACHINE BAKERY" stencilled onto its frame. The scene then cuts to the ST ANDREWS Hospital Ship, followed by rows of nurses sitting on benches in front of a temporary desk, being manned by British service personnel. The scene then cuts again to; wounded service personnel being carried into one of Southampton's dockside storage sheds on stretchers. Once inside the wounded are placed onto trolleys and wheeled to waiting military ambulances, or to a waiting Red Cross ambulance train. An advertisement for "BURBERRY COATS – The World's Best Weatherproofs and the World's Best Overcoats. BURBERRYS on HAYMARKET LONDON" hangs from the roof of the shed. (1 min 28 sec) CH40-41

(22 May 1940) The pillared Southern Railway Docks, No.10 gates, are manned by British Army personnel and policemen. A group of approximately thirty motorcyclists enter through the gates, followed by Morris-Commercial C4 15-cwt, Morris-Commercial PU 8-cwt, Bedford OXD and Bedford MWD trucks. The same trucks are also featured driving towards the quayside with several dockside cranes silhouetted in the distance. (3 min 23 sec) CH42
