[BASIC ACCESSION RECORD] Photocopies of ts transcriptions of letters written by members of the Budd family, together with biographical details relating to the family, including: letters by Captain Edward Budd MC and two bars, to his sister, Joan, Step-mother Muriel, and father, Cecil Budd, while serving with 116th Company, 12th Division Train, Army Service Corps (May 1915 -July 1916), 2nd Battalion, then 1st Battalion Irish Guards (July 1916 - May 1918), with a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Pollock OC 1st Battalion Irish Guards informing his father of Edward's death on 8 May 1918, and Colonel Sir John Hall, Irish Guards, sending his commisserations; letters from John ('Jack') Cecil Budd, from passing out of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich (July 1917), and from various places in the UK, and journeying to Italy with 19th Heavy Battery (November 1918 - January 1919).
