Brief but interesting ts memoir (8pp) with few dates recording her experiences as an internee in Malaya (December 1941 – 1945) having been placed in a Malaysian Convent by her uncle on the death of her father at the age of 3, including the Japanese invasion (December 1941 – February 1942), being wounded in the Japanese air raids (no date); being evacuated by the Japanese from the Convent to Changi (December ?1942) and being interned in Changi Gaol (December ?1942 – May 1944) and then in Sime Road camp (May 1944 – [August 1945]); and commenting on the poor conditions, notably the sickness and the lack of medicines to treat her wounds; working on the hospital wards; the brutality of the Japanese guards and their mistreatment of the internees; meeting her husband and after three years getting married (February 1949) and leaving for the UK after Malaysian Independence (1968); and mentioning Lady Heath.
