Privately printed memoir (117pp ts, printed 1998) recording her experiences as a schoolgirl living in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the time of the German invasion in April 1940, describing daily life under German occupation, stories of anti-German sabotage and other acts of resistance, her own involvement with the clandestine distribution of underground newssheets and the sheltering by her family of Jews in late 1943 in connection with the operation to evacuate Denmark's Jewish population to Sweden, increased German repression and the `General Strike' of June 1944, Gestapo actions against resistance activists with the help of Danish informers, the bombing of Gestapo HQ in Copenhagen by the RAF in March 1945, and the German surrender in May 1945; also in the collection are pages from a secret scrapbook which she kept at the time, a small number of clandestine newssheets and other printed materials, and a copy of `The Return: July 1984', an account by Eva Rogers of a journey she made to Germany in company with the author Ruth David (`Child of our Time: A young girl's flight from the Holocaust') to revisit the latter's birthplace.
