Collection of ms, ts and printed papers relating to his role as senior and commanding officer of 211 and 212 Batteries, 64th Medium Regiment, RA (January 1941 - August 1945) covering his regiment's service in North Africa during the First Desert Campaign and Libyan Campaign (January - March 1941), in Greece (March - April 1941), Crete (May 1941), Libya (June - September 1941), Egypt and the Western Desert (September 1941 - September 1943), Sicily (September - November 1943) and in the United Kingdom for training (November 1943 - June 1944), the landing at Arromanches, Normandy (10 June 1944), and the role of the regiment in support of the Airborne Divisions during Operation Market Garden (September 1944) and during the Allied advance into Germany; including a ts copy (153pp) of the military diary kept by him (December 1940 - June 1945) with good details of administration of the regiment, its role in action and its movements; copies of a series of ts accounts (97pp) compiled by W G Holloway (1987) covering the movements of 64th Medium Regiment RA (August 1939 - April 1946); service papers, printed messages to the troops, newspapers and correspondence; and 30 photographs of scenes of North Africa. Also included in the correspondence are papers and documents (14 items) issued to his wife, Mrs K C Hunt, during her service with the ATS and WAAF, particularly with the British Air Commission in Washington, United States (1940 - 1943).
