Large collection of photocopies of papers in English, French, German and Italian relating to the raid by 11 (Scottish) Commando on Vichy French positions on the Litani River, Syria, in which he took part; the attack, also by 11 Commando, on Rommel's headquarters at Beda Littoria (the 'Rommel raid') for which he did reconnaissance work resulting in his capture, and with references also to Lieutenant Colonel G Keyes VC who was killed leading the raid; his service with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) in the United Kingdom (1944), the Auvergne area of France as part of the Jedburgh team 'Quinine' (summer 1944) and as an agent in the Udine area of North East Italy (November 1944 - May 1945) including his report on the mission (codenamed 'Coolant'), correspondence and other documents concerning SOE agents, members of the resistance movements in France and Italy, and the massacre of partisans at Porzus.
