Privately published memoir (60pp) covering his childhood in India and Northern Ireland, education at Rugby and early foray into politics in East London, his enlistment with the Territorial Army in 1938 and posting to the London Welsh Regiment at Croydon at the outbreak of war, his transfer to the 94th City of Edinburgh Regiment as Instructor of Gunnery and then embarkation to Egypt, his recruitment for the Libyan Arab Force and subsequently with the Arab and Balkan sections of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), his missions to Hungary and Yugoslavia with SOE and the SBS, and his posting to MI9 and work in the Far East with prisoners of war and at the Awards Bureau, Paris until demobilisation in spring 1946, with notes on his postwar career and membership of the SAS Territorial Regiment, good details of his time spent in Cairo at SOE headquarters, his training for a mission in Yugoslavia with the Israelis, and resistance operations in Albania, harassing German divisions retreating from Greece.
