Series of four flying log books covering his flying training in the United Kingdom, South Africa and India (May 1943 - April 1945), his service with No 31 Squadron RAF based at Mingaladon in Burma, Kallang in Singapore and Kemajoran in Java carrying out the evacuation of Allied prisoners of war and Dutch internees (August 1945 - October 1946), with No. 74 Squadron (January 1947 - April 1948 and again in February 1949 after rejoining the RAF), with No. 263 Squadron RAF equipped with Meteor jets, a period which included flights as part of the RAF's aerobatics display team (February 1949 - August 1950), with No 147 Squadron RAF ferrying aircraft between the UK, Canada and Germany (March - December 1953), and with No. 267 Squadron RAF, a transport support and communications squadron based at Kuala Lumpur, Singapore during the Malayan Emergency flying specially adapted 'Voice' aircraft which broadcast messages devised by the Psychological Warfare Department (April 1956 - August 1958), at No 1 Initial Training School, South Cerney (November 1958 - April 1959), Christmas Island (May 1959 - May 1960) and at No. 2 Air Navigation School, Thorney Island (October 1960). The log books are accompanied by a number of leaflets and press cuttings relating to the aerobatics displays of No. 263 Squadron, press cuttings relating to his service during the Malayan Emergency and 8 'Voice' aircraft request forms with messages (in English and Mandarin) to be broadcast and details of the target areas (August - December 1957).
