Records of 78th Fighter Group USAAF at Duxford, 1943 - 1945
Five reels of 16mm microfilms of United States records of the 78th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force United States Army Air Force (USAAF) for December 1943 - August 1945, when it was stationed at Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire; the records comprise war diaries ('histories') written in the form of daily reports, orders of the day, station publications and a post war magazine article with pictures, about the Group's service during the Second World War. The reels also contain similar papers for the 64th Troop Carrier Group USAAF in the Mediterranean, 1942 - 1944 and for the 78th Fighter Group, 4th Air Force in the USA, 1948 - 1949.

In October 1992, 2,400 British troops deployed to Bosnia and Croatia under Operation 'Grapple', tasked with providing armed escort to United Nations humanitarian aid convoys as part of the UN Protection Force, UNPROFOR, in Bosnia.
