Ts letter (1p, 13 February 1941) written to her by the Earl of Dudley, ARP Regional Commissioner for the Midlands, explaining that her actions on the night of 14 November 1940 during an air raid on West Bromwich have been drawn to the attention of the Minister of Home Security and consequently she has been awarded the George Medal, together with a ts letter (1p, 15 February 1941) from the Commandant of the West Bromwich Despatch Rider Service congratulating her on the award, a photocopy of (? an incomplete) ts press announcment (2pp) giving further biographical details and a detailed account of the incident, a photographic copy of the portrait painted of her after the award was announced and a collection of newspapers and press cuttings (February 1941 - September 1988). (Miss Bick was the youngest defence worker to be awarded the GM, being aged only 16 in February 1941.)
