Photocopy of a brief memoir, in French, and associated photographs (6pp ts) concerning his service as a Paris Fire Brigade fireman on detachment to the fire service in Cherbourg during the summer of 1941, with interesting comments on the morale of the German soldiers in the town (many of whom were about to be transferred to the Eastern Front) and the effects of Allied air raids on Cherbourg during that period.
