Ts transcript (5pp) of a diary kept from June - October 1958 by the wife of a Battery Commander in the 29th Field Regiment RA while serving in the British Garrison in Famagusta, Cyprus and giving details of local EOKA outrages during this period, notably the murder of the wife of a sergeant in the Regiment, the curfews and other restrictions under which the families of the Garrison were compelled to live and her views on the EOKA campaign; together with a letter, dated July 1958, sent home relating to her life on the base, with particular references to the curfews, cyclostyled copies of orders on internal security issued to British families in Famagusta by the Garrison and the Regiment, September 1957 - November 1958, a printed copy of a broadcast by Sir Hugh Foot, the Governor, on 'The New Policy for Cyprus', an undated magazine article on Wayne's Keep Military Cemetery in Cyprus and a few associated presscuttings and cyclostyled EOKA document.
