Photocopy of account (12pp) of his experiences as an RFC wireless operator written in September 1963, describing his training at Farnborough, and wireless telegraphy training at Brooklands before being posted to No 2 Squadron RFC in France, attached to 3rd Siege Battery, October 1916 - February 1917, then with No 6 Squadron RFC in the Ypres Salient attached to 82nd Siege Battery, February - June 1917, and to 30th Heavy Artillery Group, June - October 1917, during the Battle of Messines, followed by a posting to No 4 Squadron RFC, attached to 13th Siege Battery during the 3rd Battle of Ypres, and was then posted to No 53 Squadron RFC, February(?) - July 1918, after which he was selected for a commission and trained as an observer being demobilized in March 1919; together with photocopy of ms (3pp) account by E Berry of Sound Ranging in the First World War; ms (3pp) account by F J Gould of his experiences as a wireless operator with a Kite Balloon section in France, and ms (5pp) account by E Taylor of his service as an electrician and wireless operator in the RFC, October 1913 - October 1917, in France from August 1914 - October 1915, including the Battle of Loos, in England with No 22 Squadron RFC, October 1915 - early 1916, then he was posted to No 9 Squadron RFC in September 1916 - October 1917 when he was commissioned in the field and returned to Britain.
