Series of papers assembled by him as a doctor (G.P.) during the German occupation of Guernsey, 1940 - 1945, comprising reports and correspondence (including some by him) describing in detail for the Guernsey Government and the German local command the situation regarding food, diet, fuel, services and general supplies on the island, including: his reports on the health of the island (October 1941) and on food and health (ca. October 1944), charts of supplies and correspondence concerning cultivation of calves and tomatoes; printed notices including two from the Bailiff (March and May 1941) decrying islanders' sabotage activities, The Star newspaper's announcement of the German surrender and King George VI's message after the liberation; several laissez-passers/vehicle permits, a Guernsey identity card and a traffic offence fine issued by the Germans, and a Guernsey (December 1945) Registration/Identity Card; a letter and envelope (July 1944) sent by him via the Red Cross; a copy of the Bailiff's letter (1940) to the Home Office discussing the question of a total evacuation of the island before a German invasion; photographs of German air raid damage and scenes from the occupation.
